Jolie Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Louisiana State University and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from the University of
Oklahoma. She has worked in the museum field for over 7 years in multiple capacities including collection storage organization, special programs, and
education initiatives. She joined the Hilliard Museum as Marketing & Membership Manager in August 2015, and transitioned her role to Development
Manager in 2018. She has a passion for museums, finding ways to streamline operations, and increasing public interest. While in graduate school, she
completed internships at the National WWII Museum, LSU Museum of Art, Southdown Plantation, Alexandre Mouton House, and the LSU Rural Life Museum.
Johnson previously worked at Vermilionville Living History Museum for over 3 years as their Museum Operations Coordinator. She was awarded Louisiana’s
“Emerging Museum Professional” in 2012 by the Louisiana Association of Museums.
